Why is my senior dog dragging his back leg and can barely move?

My 10 year old male German Shepherd, Sam, keeps dragging his back right leg. He can hardly move on it. What could be the cause of the problem? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 1 month old
