My 10-year-old dog is chewing his paw and limping. What's the cause?

Hi my 10 year old dog has recently started to gnaw at his left paw pad. It's not swollen, has no cut or foreign body. He dosnt flinch when you touch it to clean but it has started to effect his walking, he walks a little lame. What do you think it could be? I read it could be a change in diet but this hasn't changed.

Poor Bobby. I can definitely tell that he has been messing with it since the hair has changed colors. This could be allergies or something between his paws pads or on his nails that is bothering him. You could try Benadryl twice a day to see if this helps. See link below. If not, I would have your vet take a look at it to see if they can find the cause. Your vet will be able to prescribe him antibiotics if needed and stronger allergy meds if needed. I hope this helps! https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/#
