My dogs cry in their crate at night after moving. What can I do?

Hello! We just moved to a new apartment and our 2 dogs (basset and English bulldog, 6&8 years) keep crying at night while in their crate. They never cried at our old place - they loved their crate! What should we do to help with the transition? Should we ignore them?

If you have something from the "old" place, put it in the crate. that may provide some comfort. A pheromone product, such as the Adaptil collar or DAP plug in diffuser, may decrease any anxiety associated with the move. Keep a small nightlight on for them until they acclimate.
