My cat ate cannabis oil. Should I take her to the vet or monitor?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 14 years and 5 months old | 15 lbs

We accidentally gave our cat cannabis oil. 2mg THC and 8mg of CBD one hour ago. The cat is healthy, 15lb.and 14 yrs. Should we monitor the rest of the day or take some action?

Hello, sorry to hear about Lavander. You can call the animal poison control line at (888) 426-4435. Monitor for signs of disorientation, dribbling urine, spooking very easily, wide pupils, a decreased temperature, and dilated pupils. If you see any of these, then Lavander should be evaluated by a veterinarian. Most pets do ok after effects of the THC have passed in several hours, however, depending on how much was ingested, some pets can have a severely low heart rate and temperature.
