Dog has neck lump that burst, white stuff & a hard rock came out?

There was a lump on my dogs upper neck. I left it alone for awihle thinking it was a tumor amd she is so old. But it was scratched open so i squeezed it and all this white stuff came out then a dime size ball of a rock came out? What is that? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 10 years and 7 months old | 140 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Luna! Very strange! It could have been an abscess and the pictures of are hardened inflamed tissue or it could have been a salivary stone or a foreign body that migrated in to the subcutaneous tissues. it is very odd. You can bring it and Luna to the vet Monday and have them look at her and dissect it to see if they can give you a definitive answer. I wish you the best!
