My dog has a bump on his chest. Is it a pimple or something serious?

It appears to be a cyst like lesion kind of like a pimple. Try squeezing it to get it to pop. Then rub it with a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. If it starts to get bigger (doubles in size) then take Parker to see a vet to examine it.

    It is probably nothing to be concerned about. If you have some [hydrocortisone cream/spray](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zymox-spray-with-5-hydrocortisone) you can put some on it a couple times a day for the next few days. If there is no improvement or it looks worse, then you should have your veterinarian take a look at it. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

I just noticed some odd growths on my 2 year old Pugs chest. I squeezed one and some liquid came out the side but just a tiny bit. They are above her nipples in a square on her chest. What could they be?
Are you sure this is not a nipple? Nipples can be up all the way on the chest. If this is not a nipple then these may be pimples (little abscesses), cysts or tumors. You should have them examined by your veterinarian as tumors should be removed ASAP, especially if they are of a black color (likely melanoma). Abscesses can usually be treated with antibiotics and/or be lanced, and cysts can be evacuated. Your vet may want to do a fine needle aspirate (he takes some material from the bump with a needle and then looks at it under the microscope) to determine whether the mass is concerning.

Hello my dog got this bump next to his eye .Is this a pimple or something worse?Thanks for the help.
It could be something like a pimple but it could also be some sort of a skin mass. Pets can get many types of lumps and bumps. Most of these tumors will be benign but some will be malignant and you can't tell by looks. Here is a helpful link discussing the various types of skin masses in general: https://www.petcoach.co/article/lumps-and-bumps-on-your-pet/ You may apply a warm (not hot), compress the the area for the next few days. This can help if it is a pimple. If the mass is still there in two weeks, I recommend to have it checked out to be safe. The doctor may recommend to aspirate the mass to examine the cells under a microscope. That is one of the best ways to know what it is and if further action is needed. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

How do you tell the difference between a sore and a pimple on a dog?
Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! The area in the picture looks like an area of what I would call excoriation or skin irritation usually seen when a dog scratches an area extensively due to itching. The yellowish area can be a pimple or what we call a pustule (a pimple containing pus). Pimples and pustules are usually raised lesions, extending up from the skin. It's a little difficult making out much detail in the picture. Sometimes damaged areas of skin turn yellowish like that and are usually flat in appearance, not raised up like a pimple/pustule. my dog has a pimple should I be worried
I wouldn't be worried about it unless more appear. Do not squeeze it, but you can gently clear the area with warm water and antiseptic soap. Keep an eye on it, and it should hopefully clear up in a couple of days. If it doesn't clear up or more appear, then I would take Coco into the vet for an exam because he may have a generalized skin infection. Good luck, I hope this helps!

Just wondering if this is something I should be concerned with? It’s looks like pimple of some sort that just turned up today. Doesn’t seem to bother my 11 week old pup at all. Wondering if I could put peroxide on it?

I would recommend just monitoring this for now and if after the next 2 to 3 weeks it is still there or worse, I would have a veterinarian examine the area so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. My dog has a lesion growing on his skin. It looks like pimple. Could it be something malign? He doesn't look its hurting.
Any abnormal swelling should be checked by your vet. It could be one of any number of things: -cyst -abscess -tumor, malignant -tumor, benign Even though it doesn’t seem to be bothering him you should have him checked by your vet.

Hi Boop by Petco! My dog has medium sized lump under his skin, right by his chest and rib cage. Is this something I should be concerned about?
Hello. This is probably a benign neoplasia called a lipoma, but any lump, bump or nodule that pops up, especially on an older dog, should be brought to your veterinarians attention as quickly as possible. Sometimes we will do a very simple needle aspirate to look for any unusual cells under the microscope, or your veterinarian may just elect to watch things. But it should at least be evaluated. I noticed my puppy had a large pimple like bump on his stomach/genital region. Do I need to bring him to a vet?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harley. I do recommend that he sees a veterinarian. That is a larger bump than the average pustule or pimple. He could have a small mass that is growing or an infection under the skin. This time of year, insect bites are common as well. His veterinarian will evaluate the bump and may collect a sample of cells to evaluate under the microscope. I hope this information helps!

Concern on a lesion I noticed on my 6 mo pup today
It looks like a pimple, a minor skin infection. You can use a Benzoyl peroxide topical cream or an antiseptic cream in order to help it resolve quicker, but otherwise it should resolve itself without treatment.
