Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female
Hi. My 10 year old cat had been vomitting bile for 2.days so took her to vet. After blood test confirmed kidneys are in very bad shape. Vet says she will die within a week or I can leave her at vet for rehydration over the weekend. Says it might kick start her kidneys and then with controlled diet she could last another six months. She stresses so much at the vet I'm inclined to just let her come home. Would love a second opinion please.

I think the fluid therapy will make her feel much better, and ideally kidneys blood test should be reassessed after 48 hours on aggressive fluid therapy. I know what you mean about cats and stress, but try to make her stay more comfortable by bringing in a home blanket and using feliway spray. They might give her some pain relief that will help her rest and be comfortable while there. I wish Luna all the best !
