Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 22 lbs
I let my 22lb male shih tzu outside tonight to go pee. A little bit later, I hear him crying out loudly in pain (like screaming out). I race outside to find him laying motionless on his left side on the patio still screaming in pain. There was no obvious injuries to him. I went to pick him up and he went completely limp and unconscious. I brought him inside and held him and after about 5-10 seconds he was conscious. He had no hx of diseases. He ended up pooping himself too. What could this be?

This sounds a lot like either a syncope episode (passing out) or a seizure. Not all seizures have to have a convulsion part to it. I strongly recommend having your vet take a look at him to listen to his heart and check some blood work on him to make sure he is okay. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better soon.
