Why is my dog's yellow, dry poop like scrambled eggs after new food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 35 lbs

Today my dog went over to use the restroom, and I noticed what I thought was a mucus bubble. Well it wasn’t, and just two pieces attached bygrass. Kiwi eats grass a lot, so that wasn’t shocking. But her poop was a dry yellow color, and looked like over cooked scrambled eggs, w no worms. Ihave started feeding her a new soft food occasionally, and some new treats; so I don’t know if that is the issue or what. This is the first time she’s had this issue and other than her poop, she is acting normal

I wouldn’t be worried about the color of kiwi s stool at all. The color can vary significantly, especially when new foods and treats are added. If she starts straining while having a bowel movement, or if she develops a poor appetite, diarrhea or weight loss then I would have her evaluated by her veterinarian. I love her name!!
