Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 12 years and 6 months old | 15 lbs
Our 14 yr old was in for dental surgery and we were given a bottle of VetrDent for their water as well as a bag of Purina Dental Health. Our 12 year old cat is now suffering with diaherra. Both indoor cats. We have discontinued both products but the diaherra has been ongoing for 2 days now. Is there anything we can do before having to get the vet involved? Thank you!

I am so sorry your cat has been having diarrhea! I would contact your veterinarian since your cat just had anesthesia for his dental procedure. Sometimes anesthesia can cause GI upset. Also, it sounds like you just changed the food. Did you do a slow transition of food? A quick transition of food can cause GI upset as well. I would recommend starting a probiotic and also contacting your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may be able to help you by sending home a medication, like metronidazole, for the diarrhea.
