Is shark cartilage safe for my dog on Novox, Robaxin, and cortisone?

Can I give shark cartilage to my dog while he is on Novox and Robaxin? He had corticosteroid injection today.

Yes, you can give shark cartilage, but you should not give Novox if he received a cortisone injection The Novox should be discontinued in order to prevent stomach ulcers and other side effects and the amount of time it needs to be discontinued will depend on the type of cortisone that was given. I would recommend that you speak to your veterinarian about this and they can tell you the type of cortisone and how long it lasts and the amount of time the Novox should be stopped.
