My dog has a pink belly bump. Could it be a tick bite or just a navel?

This is not a tick bite, but your dog's navel. It can sometimes look more pink than other times. It is nothing to worry about. However should this grow in size you need to have your vet look at it, as it could be a little hernia or a mass.

    Hi. I would say yes it could be, although hard to say with out exam. The thing that concerns me is that it's pink and raised. Pets can get skin cancers just like us, so when it's pink and the patient is older, it can be concerning. I'd call your veterinarian in the am.

Hello. It is difficult to tell if this is a cyst or a small tumor, but it is good to have this looked at soon. Iggy is young, so I am not so much concerned about this being very serious, but Pitbulls do seem to be a little more inclined to develop what we call button tumors. Most of these are not terrible dangerous, & if your veterinarian suggests having this removed & the tissue sent for pathology, I would do so. Often, with these small tumors, removal is curative. But knowing what this is also gives you a heads up as to whether or not other small tumors may arise from time to time. I would not panic over anything I have said, but wait to have this looked at. Your veterinarian may take a completely different approach & treat this topically once he has a good idea of what this is. Thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.

Hi, I noticed a. black bump on my dog's stomach and it looks like there's some redness or blood around. Is it a tick? I've attached 3 photos
Based on the pictures, it does not look like a tick. It looks like a skin mass. Have your vet take a look at him to determine exactly what it is. Your vet may want to aspirate or biopsy to diagnose.

Just barely found this bump on Gunner's stomach while giving him a belly rub. Is this just part of his body or is this something to be concerned about?

Ok so the other day my dog fell asleep and he always rolls on his back so his stomach was showing, he has this frekle near his leg which is completely normal for him but a few centimetres above it was this bump, at first I thought it was a tick and f
I agree, the bump in the picture looks like a nipple, which is a normal part of a dog's anatomy. Chewy's limping won't be related to that, and limping is a sign of pain in dogs. It could be he injured himself causing the limping. If he's no longer limping, I wouldn't be concerned, but definitely take him into a vet tomorrow if he is still limping. Best of luck.

My 8 month old shepherd has pink bumps on her belly and private area. She doesn't have fleas and its no where else on her body. What could it be?
Pink bumps on the belly and groin area are most often a sign of a bacterial skin infection called pyoderma - this can occur on its own, or due to an underlying skin condition like allergies, fleas, or skin mites (mange). If the bumps aren't bothering her much and are confined to a fairly small area, you can try using a topical antibiotic spray on the area to see if this helps. If there is no improvement in the next 7-10 days, or if the bumps become itchy or painful or seem to be spreading, it would be best to take her to the vet for an exam, as she may need oral antibiotics or other prescription medication to treat the problem effectively.

My dog has a bump on her stomach and I’m not sure if I should be worried. I shaved the hair off around it so I was able to see it better. It is not bothering her at all, but I want to make sure everything is okay.
This looks like either a puncture wound or an insect bite, i would recommend monitoring it for the next 2-3 weeks, if you think it does not get any better you should take her to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.

This spot is on my dogs belly, she lays outside a lot, I've noticed a lot of flies lately but I'm wondering if it's just a big bite or possible tick bite? It doesn't seem to bother her.
It could be an insect or tick bite, it could also be ringworm, if this does not get any better within a week you will need to take her to your vet in order to get it checked and treated. try to avoid contact as ringworm is contagious to humans as well.

My dog had a reddish bump on his stomach. Any idea what it is? It continues to get larger
It's hard to say for certain from the photo, but it may be a type of skin tumor. I am concerned that it appears to be a very dark red color and is hairless. Your vet may suggest a needle aspirate or biopsy to determine if the growth is cancerous or not. It may be more apparent in real life that this is something else like an insect bite or sting, or a skin infection. A veterinary physical exam is the best recommendation.

This looks little normal anatomy but like it is bruised. He likely bites on it causing it to be bruised. I would watch it closely to ensure it doesn’t get bigger. If it stays red and bruised looking, I would ha e your vet look at it to ensure it isn’t infected. I hope This helps!

Hello. This could just be a cyst or small tumor such as a histiocytoma. At this point, it does not look worrisome, so just monitor for any changes in size &/or shape.
