Tick fever is another name for diseases transmitted by ticks (tick-borne illness). These illnesses are usually caused by blood parasites (anaplasma, babesia, rikettsiae, etc),viruses or bacteria. Here is information on babesia infections: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/babesiosis-in-dogs.
