My cat ate chicken bones & skin. Is it bad? Should I see a vet?

Hello, last night my brother left fried chicken on the table and my cat got into it. I found some chicken skin and bones stashed in my room. Is eating chicken skin and bones bad for him? There's also a possibility he got into some nuts. He hasn't throwing up or has diarrhea but he's usually up at 6:30 am, crying for food and today he did not do this. He's just been sleeping and being extra lazy. He's been drinking water but barely. Should I bring him in to the vet?

Hello, Fried chicken is not ideal for out pets due to the high fat content. The cooked chicken bones typically do not cause an obstruction but in some cases do. As far as the nuts go, I do not know of any nuts that have been reported to cause toxicity in cats. If Gizmo has not had any vomiting or diarrhea, I would not be alarmed. However, if he remains lethargic, vomits, develops diarrhea or does not eat in the next 24 hours, I would advise you to have him evaluated by a veterinarian.
