Can a cat bond to someone else if you are gone for about 3 months?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Yes, I have seen this happen a few times, though usually with time the cat will learn to love and trust the original owner again and have an equally strong bond. Only once have I seen that the old bond seemed to be permanently broken. Best of luck to you and Buddy!
