Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 5.5 lbs

My cat's rear legs are weak and he cannot jump nor climb higher platforms like he used to. He is lethargic, but has a very good apetite.

This is very odd behavior for a young cat and is quite worrying. He may have a disease that is causing anemia, or heart trouble causing him to be less active and week. In rare cases young cats can have joint diseases causing similar problems, but it's more likely to be a disease or injury causing him to act like this. It's best to have Allie examined by a vet as soon as possible, because it may be something treatable and he may have life-threatening complications without treatment. I hope that helps and Allie gets better soon.
