Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 6 months old | 15 lbs
My Holly, a 10 yr Jack Russel Terrier. She has been diagnosed with insulnoma after her ultra sound. I am having trouble feeding her several times a day. She was raised on kibble that is left out for her to eat as she wants. She turns away from canned food. Do you have any suggestions for me to help her? Thank you...broken hearted in Texas

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Transitioning from free feeding to eating at regular scheduled intervals can pose a challenge at the beginning. One thing you may try is heating up her canned food a bit to help bring out the flavor and entice her to eat. You can also take her for a short walk or play time before meals to increase her hunger level. Making sure she is eating at regular scheduled times during the day and in the same location can also help. Also giving Holly lots of praise when she does eat will help as well.
