I have two orange tabby cats that have both been experiencing what seems to be soar throats (both their meows and growls sound raspy) and they have also been gagging slightly every now and then. I took one of them to a vet and ran blood tests and everything was fine, she just had a slight fever. Both of them seem fine otherwise, they're eating and drinking still. Is this something I should really be worried about? I have my girl on an anti inflammatory and am considering antibiotics.

Cats commonly suffer from infectious upper respiratory tract infections and as long as they are bright and alert, eating at least half their normal food and symptoms last no longer than 10-14days I would not be overly concerned. Antibiotics are generally not required unless a severe secondary bacterial infection develops in which case they would appear unwell, green/yellow nasal or eye discharge and sneezing would be expected to develop
