Hi my dog has had watery diarrhea for the past week. She still eats plays and is her hyper self but it hasnt gone away. Its not worse nor is it better. I read i should give her more water and rice to help her. We just moved and im thinking stress and dehydration because sometimes she knocks over her water. No parvo symptoms and nothinv else. What should i do? Im out of town and cant take her to a vet and my husband is at work all day so we need home remedies if possible

A bland diet such as a specialist intestinal diet such as hills i/d stress or boiled chicken and brown rice can be helpful - I would recommend adding a probiotic/fiber supplement such as fortiflora and also a natural calming aid such as zylkene given the recent move as stress can definitely contribute

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bee! Since it has been a week I think you need to consider a vet appointment soon. If you haven't tried a bland diet yet of boiled chicken or beef with rice you can try that. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day until 1-2 normal stools. You can also add in a probiotic like Purina Fortiflora. Causes of diarrhea are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, food allergy/intolerance, reaction to a new treat/food/people food, Inflammatory bowel disease. If there is no improvement by early next week it is time to take him to the Vet. Good luck!
