My dog vomits yellow, has discharge after pyometra surgery. Why?

My tillie had a open pyometra ,she had surgery but was really sick when it was finally done ,vet said her kidneys were in pretty bad shape .tillie stayed at vets for 3 days getting lots of fluids threw iv to clean out her body ,when she came home she seemed like she be ok but wasn't eating yet .vet said give it a day Last nite she finally ate a lititle ckn broth with ckn shreds.TODAY she is throwing up again rite after she drinks its yellow slime ,and has yellow discharge from vagina. why?? Pet's info: Dog | Rat Terrier | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 11 months old | 20 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. What you are describing could be residual infection that has not cleared up 100%. If Tillie is vomiting as well, I would recommend having the veterinarian recheck her so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made.
