Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 9 lbs
My chihuahua is vomiting about once a day. She is 1 year old. I have started to transition her to adult food. From wellness puppy kibble to wellness adult kibble. Should I go back to her other food to see if this is the cause?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Dorie! Yes, I think that is a good idea to go back to the original food and see if that stops the vomiting. Then after she stops vomiting for a week, try a different brand of adult food and very slowly transition her. If she keeps vomiting despite going back to the puppy food I would have her seen. Other causes can be: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, foreign body (something is causing a blockage), pancreatitis, intestinal disease, metabolic disease (kidney or liver problem). I wish you and Dorie the best!
