My puppy is frantic, scratching, licking, and has pink eyelids.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 21 days old | 5 lbs

My 7 week white Staffordshire Terrier puppy eyes lids started getting pink and he runs around frantically looking and sniffing around while whining then starts to dig and try to lay down. He shakes his head and scratches at both sides of his head and the ears are extremely clean and he also licks his belly.Sometimes it looks like one rear leg starts to not work right when he haves an episode. He eats drinks and plays but during these episodes he doesnt even want to be held for comfort or love

Oh wow, Prince is really cute! This sounds like some type of allergic reaction, or perhaps Prince has been stung by an insect. True allergies, such as to something in the food or environment, are very rare at this age, so I would be more suspicious of a bite or a contact allergy. If he's still frantic at this point I would recommend a vet visit to rule out anything serious.
