My dog has a whitehead pimple on her neck. What can I do at home?

Hi. We are taking care of someone else's dog and today we noticed a large bump on her neck with a whitehead pimple like top. It is memorial day weekend so can't get to a vet it until Tuesday. Is there anything I can do? She is 2 and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. She is eating and playing. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 50 lbs

I am sorry to hear that Love isn’t doing well. The picture looks like a possible abscess. If a veterinarian is not a possibility then I would encourage you to warm compress the area several times a day with warm water and Epsom salts if you have them. I would, however, encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. She likely needs antibiotics and it may get worse if left untreated.
