Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered
My dog has eaten a small pile of malted breadcrumbs when I went upstairs. I was scraping burned bits of the bread and a majority fell into the bin, and a small pile landed on the floor. Must I be worried?

This may be a more rich meal than Barney would be used to, but is not expected to cause any significant problems if this was a standard recipe. The most that would happen is Barney vomits, or has diarrhea as a reaction to the rich meal. It can also cause pancreatitis in rare cases; where he would have frequent vomiting and a lack of appetite. It's most likely that Barney will be fine though. He may have some loose stools or vomit later on, but I wouldn't expect much more than this. I hope that helps and all is well with Barney.
