Hello! Our dog had a tooth cleaning yesterday. He’s been on wet food since and has been drinking and eating fine. He had a loose bowel at 3pm and just had a bloody loose bowel. He’s on an antifungal medication for cryptococcus Should we take him to the emergency vet?

Yes. I would definitely take him to an emergency clinic immediately. Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis can come on very quickly and dogs can become very sick in a few hours. IV fluid therapy will likely be recommended. Oftentimes this disorder follows a stressful event such as anesthesia. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
