My dog bit his private area and it's bleeding. What should I do?

My dog was biting himself and he bit his balls and now the thin layer of skin is off there was blood but not much I cleaned and put ointment on it was tropical ointment. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 5 months old | 10 lbs

Poor Royce! That small area will likely heal as long as he doesn't continue to lick or bite at it. You can put a cone collar on him to prevent this if needed. You can continue to put some Neosporin on it twice a day to help it heal. If it isn't getting better or if he continues to itch, I would have your vet take a look at him. I hope this helps!
