Is my 3-month Persian kitten's weight normal? How much should I feed?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My 3 month old male Persian kitten weighs 1100 grams. Is he normal, overweight or underweight? What should be his normal weight? Also Is it alright if I feed him multiple small meals instead of 3 equivalent to 60 grams per day?

It is ok to feed multiple small meals, however at this age he will likely need more food. You can let him eat as much as he likes at this age as he is still growing. at three months he should weigh around 1200g.

I suggest you feed him wet food three times a day and you can leave a small bowl of dry food out with him to graze on during the day. You can let him eat as much as he wants, He should be about 200g heavier than he is now at this age. By the time he is 6 months old you can reduce the feeding times to twice a day, morning and evening.
