What is this blister-like bump on my dog's paw? Should I worry?

My dog developed a blister like bump on her paw. I just noticed this yesterday. She is 6 years old has skin allergies and gets hotspots but I never seen this before, so I am worried. It doesn’t seem to bother her but it doesn’t look good.

This looks like a severe hotspot but it could also be a foreign body such as a grass seed for example, that entered the skin and is causing this reaction, i would recommend getting it checked and treated by your vet as soon as you can.

    As you mentioned it could be a splinter, maybe a grass seed, but it could also be a hot spot which is usually triggered by an allergic reaction. at the moment from the pictures it looks fine, i would just monitor it for now.

It looks like a hot spot, it's usually caused by an allergy or fleas causing itchiness and then the dog licks the area and causes it himself. i would recommend taking him to your vet in order to get it checked and treated.

My dog has a mass on her paw
Ouch! With any new growth like this, it's best to have your vet take a look in person, as it isn't really possible to determine what is causing the growth just from a photo. Your vet can take a sample of the growth as needed with a fine-needle aspirate, or biopsy, to check what cell type is present and if the spot needs further attention. Other causes can be calluses from rubbing, scabbing from a wound or infection under the skin, or other issues. Until you can get to the vet, it's best to keep the area clean and dry and prevent Ginger from licking or chewing at it with an Elizabethan (cone) collar or sock over the spot. Monitoring it for any additional changes such as size, oozing debris, pain, etc, is also a good idea as these observations can help your vet narrow down the cause and best treatment plan.

This looks infected and possibly has a foreign body inside the bump, i would strongly recommend taking Clover to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, it might require some sedation if a foreign body is suspected.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. As this mass or spot is in an area of the body where we do see melanomas and other masses and where there is not a lot of extra skin, I suggest you have this examined ASAP by your veterinarian. This may be just a little skin infection easily treated with antibiotics, however in case it is a tumor, the smaller the mass the easier it is removed and the better and quicker it heals.

The bump you are seeing could be a mass, or it could be a skin lesion caused by bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection, dietary or environmental allergies or sensitivities, or could be a combination of the above. I recommend making an appointment to have your dog seen by your veterinarian to help determine the cause of the bump you’ve noticed and to make sure it is treated appropriately. The vet will likely want to look at a sample from the area under the microscope to determine what is causing the bump and to provide treatment. . In the meantime, if he is licking the area, I recommend putting an e-collar/cone on him to help prevent licking and reduce the risk of infection.

It needs to be checked by a vet. They may want to take a fine needle aspirate of it to check that it isn't anything nasty. They will be able to check too wether it is worth removing it before it gets too big to take off.

My French bulldog has a sore on his foot. It looks like it might be a wart or mole or something. Should I wait and see what happens or take him to the vet? It hasn't changed in a few days.
I recommend to have happy examined by the veterinarian. Skin masses can be many things but red raised masses are especially concerning for a skin cancer called a Mast Cell tumor. This could also be something like a grass seed trapped under the skin. Your veterinarian will need to collect a sample of cell to examine under the microscope to determine what this is and if further treatment is needed. Have this checked out soon.
