Why is my 6-month-old kitten so big? Is he a Maine Coon mix?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 months and 7 days old | 8 lbs

My kitten just tuned 6 months old .. he’s 8 pounds already and is a little barbarian ! Do you think he could me mixed with Maine coon?

Wow....he is totally adorable!!! He is larger than the average 6 month old kitten. At this age, the average kitten is usually 4-6 pounds. He does appear to have a long body and also some longer hair. These are characteristics of Maine Coone. It is certainly possible that he has Maine Coone genes...or he is just a very big domestic cat.
