What are clear pink worms with red heads coming from my puppy's butt?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 22 days old | 6 lbs

I have 4 puppies but only one of them has these worms coming out of his butt. They are clear/pinkish with a red head.

These are tapeworms and should be ideally treated with an effective prescription product. Fleas should be ideally controlled as well as they cause the infection (the worm lives inside the flea during his life cycle).
