Is it recommended to reimplant a dental avulsion of complete canine?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If the entire canine has been avulsed ("knocked out"), it should NOT be re-implanted as it almost certainly is no longer viable and the periodontal ligament (the tissue responsible for holding the tooth in the bone of the jaw) is certainly not in tact. The tooth should be removed and the hole closed. Best of luck to you and Sadie!
