My dog cried and couldn't walk after playing. Was it a cramp?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 5 months old

Can dogs get cramp as the other night panda was chasing a ball he stopped and sat then could not walk or weight bear as I got close to him he was screaming and shaking after a hour he was still a little tender on it but fine the next day will keep eye on him and get him checked if it happens again.

He could have a cramp in his leg, but Panda also could have strained a ligament running around. He certainly does sound sore! I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
