My dog consumed about 110 mg of iron from hair supplements. Is this an unhealthy amount? Pet's info: Dog | Husky | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 4 days old | 36 lbs

Your dog's daily iron requirement would be approximately 8mg of iron. This means she ingested about 13 times her daily requirement. This should not be a problem as the toxic amount ingested would be more than 60mg/kg body weight, ie , in the case of your dog, around 1000mg. Just make sure she has no more access to your supplement and just keep feeding her her regular good quality food.
