Why did my healthy 8-month-old puppy suddenly collapse and die?

My friend today lost his sd who was 8 months only he is so heartbroken doesn’t even describe how he is feeling..... The dog wasn’t sick he was a baby and the vet doesn’t know what Happened he took a turn last night as my friend told and my friend rushed him to the vet and he collapsed and died this morning we are in shock.... Any idea what it xould be how can a dog die while just turning or rolling?

I'm sorry for the loss of this puppy. Unfortunately, without a history or a post mortem exam, it would be near impossible to determine cause of death. In an otherwise healthy pup though, congenital defect would be suspected. The sad truth is the cause may never be determined.
