Is it normal for a Cavalier King Charles who is 7 to need 11 teeth extracted during a dental cleaning?

Yes, if the teeth haven’t been cleaned lately and you have not been brushing the teeth. Many small breeds have severe dental problems and without constant brushing and dental cleanings they often need many extractions. Once the infected teeth are removed and the rest cleaned he should be more comfortable and let you start brushing his teeth to prevent further tooth loss.
