How do I pick the right shampoo for my German Shepherd's coat health?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 89 lbs

Is there a certain type of shampoo I should be using with my German Shepherd? Or is any ok?

I use different shampoos depending on the coat. If he’s a GSD with oily skin I use an anti seborrhea shampoo. If his skin is dry or itchy I use a mild hypoallergenic shampoo. If he’s had skin infections I recommend a medicated shampoo. I often have several shampoos around and adjust them depending on his coat condition at the time of bathing. If you’re only going to purchase one shampoo then I recommend a mild aloe and oatmeal shampoo. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Tex.
