What is 3 1/2 cups of dry food divided by three servings? What is 3 cups by three servings? Is all life stages okay? I love Natures Recipe dog food and their ingredients. The Puppy kind says all life stages. All the rest are mantience adult. My puppy is husky 6 months. Read huskies in general do better on adult or all life stages than puppy, it was in a breed specific care book and breeders I called said something about adult food being better for them.

3 1/2 cups in three servings means a little bit more than one cup on each meal (3 times a day), if you have a puppy you definitely must feed him puppy food, not adult food, you should only switch to adult food after the age of 1 year.

Also, just watch him closely for rapid weight gain. As he gets older and since he is neutered, he may need his food decreased to help maintain a healthy body weight. You want to be able to easily feel his ribs and still be able to see a waist. You should not be able to see his ribs or readily feel his hip bones - This usually indicates they are too thin.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It would be best to try to switch her food to another puppy brand. However, it is important to continue her on puppy food for at least another 2-3 months. Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! Annika needs around 800-1000 calories a day for her age, sex, and weight. Nutrisource grain free has around 430 calories per cup. Feeding her one cup a day sounds about right. I hope this helps!

Royal canin is a great food! If you have some of the old food left I would mix The old food with the new food for about 10 days. You will want to start out with mostly old food and small amount of new food for the first few days and then gradually add more new food. By day 5-6, you should be at 50:50 of old:new dog food. After that you will slowly decrease the amount of old food until you are just giving the new food. For his size, he should get about 3 cups of the new food when you are switched completely over. You may need to adjust this as he continues to grow. I hope this helps!

At 13 months old, Magnus needs an adult food not a puppy food. The person who told you that puppy food has more protein is correct; it also has more calories and calcium which are needed to support a growing puppy. Once a dog reaches 12 months of age, then they do not need those extras and an adult food should be fed. I recommend the adult food for him. I hope this helps!

Yes I like feeding three times a day for several more months. I adjust the amount at each feeding depending on how hungry he is. I want him to be hungry and just finish the meal. If he’s starving and woofs it all down in a few seconds then you are not feeding enough. Great question! Luna should be fed three times a day, morning, afternoon, and evening. Take the daily allotment recommended on her food bag, and divide it into three equal portions. As a half-Mastiff, Ruby is likely going to be a pretty large dog, so I do recommend feeding her a large breed puppy food for the first year of life. Every food is formulated differently with respect to the density of calories in kibble. For this reason, follow the chart on the bag of food to match Ruby's age and weight, as this will provide the amount of food that she should have in a given day. You can then divide that amount into 3 meals as you are currently doing. I typically recommend feeding Science Diet, Purina ProPlan or Royal Canin diets, as these are high quality foods formulated by veterinary nutritionists and backed with clinical trials. If you choose to change Ruby's diet (now or at any point in her life), be sure to do so gradually by mixing her old and new foods together over 5-7 days. If your puppy is doing well on this food, I would certainly recommend not switching at this point. If you are concerned about the calorie content for your adult dog, you can calculate her testing energy requirement (body weight in Kg times 30 plus 70) and then divide by the number of kCals per cup of the food to determine how much you should be feeding.
