My dog is suddenly stiff, slow, not eating, and losing weight. Help!

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 60 lbs

For 2 weeks my dog can't run, she is walking very stiff and has barely eaten anything. She is loosing weight. She is very slow at getting up also. This has happened very suddenly. Please can you help?

Poor Baby! It definitely sounds like something is wrong. Unfortunately, these symptoms could be caused by quite a few different things, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine her and run some tests. She may have severe arthritis or some other orthopedic problem, or a systemic illness like Lyme disease, liver or kidney disease, or even some type of cancer. I would recommend taking Baby to the vet for an exam as soon as you are able to, since it sounds like she's quite uncomfortable. Your veterinarian can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.
