Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 10 months old | 10 lbs
I had my 2 year old male cats femoral heads removed due to nerve damage in the hips. It's been 7 months since surgery, and I've noticed he has very little hair on the insides on his hind legs and is missing some in the patches. Is this a normal side effect? Or is this stress? Or could it be another condition?

Good question about Jack! And all of your answers could be correct. The inner thighs tend to have less hair then other areas in general, but it should not be missing “patches”. Stress causing over grooming, pain, skin allergies, skin infection, and even mites could be attributing to the hair loss. I would highly encourage you to have a follow up appointment with your veterinarian soon. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
