Pac-Man frogs love to burrow and so they require a substrate that they can dig in to. The substrate should be damp to keep his skin from drying out. .Pac-Man frogs have teeth and they can and will draw blood if you don't watch out and stick your finger in front of them. In general handling should occur only when absolutely necessary as their skin is very sensitive and needs to stay moist at all times. So if you remove the frog from the moist substrate and hold him, his skin may dry out and get damaged. Better just observe him than handle him.
