Are essential oil diffusers or humidifiers safe for my pets?

Hello there. I'm interested in learning if using a diffuser / humidifier with essential oils in it could be harmful to cats and dogs in my household. I have no intention giving my animals essential oils, I just wanted to use aromatherapy and the extra humidity to help me sleep at night.

Hello, there is no problem using the humidifier/diffuser as long as the room in which you are using this is not closed. There should always be a source of fresh air into the room, so cracking a window is a very good idea, even for you. Otherwise, just make sure there is some air exchange going on in the room.
