What causes a recurring scab on my cat's old bee sting scar?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 years and 10 months old | 16 lbs

Gertrude had a bee sting in Aug that healed but left a scar this last week I noticed the large scab and it knocked off and left the pink photo by the next day the scab was back

Hi there. In that area there are a few things that could be playing a role in that wound. Feline acne is common under the chin, a tooth root abscess, and on white cats I also worry about skin cancer. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
