My dog chases scooters off-leash and won't obey. How to train?

Hi. My dog when off leash, will chase down kids on a scooter or like motor toy cars. How do I get him to stop chasing. As well as, when he gets into this craze, he will never obey me. I Please help. I have taken him to tranin with petco, however nothing helped. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 73 lbs

You will have to keep him on him a leash at all times to start. When he sees something and gets excited and tries to run, then correct him and tell him no, make him sit and calm down. make sure you reward him with a treat when he does this to help encourage the right behavior. Once he does will with this, get a longer leash--like 10-20 feet. He will have more freedom but you can also step and grab it and be in control when needed. Every time he does not chase them, reward him. it does help if you make him sit and stay when you notice the people coming before he does. From there you can let him off leash once he is trained and trusted.
