Puppy vaccine schedule for 2-month-old after 2 shots & rabies cost?

Pet's info: Dog | Labradoodle | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 6 days old | 15 lbs

I was wondering what the vaccination schedule is for a 2 month old puppy. We just got her and she's already had 2 rounds of shots. I also was curious on the cost of a rabies vaccination for another dog we have.

Puppy vaccines are usually started at 6 weeks of age and repeated every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age. A rabies shot is given between 12-16 weeks of age. From there they are boostered yearly. The vaccines vary upon location and clinic. At a petco clinic just a rabies is around $20.

    The easiest way to age a puppy is looking at their teeth. The top central incisions generally get replaced by adult teeth around 14-16 weeks. Typically puppies will need a minimum of 2 sets of vaccines depending on the age they were started as you want the last set to fall after 16 weeks of age. They usually get a rabies vaccine by 12-14 weeks and your vet has to administered that.

The puppy vaccines (Distemper, Parvo, Adenovirus2, Parainfluenza) are normally given every 2-4 weeks starting at 6-8 weeks of age, with the last vaccine given at 16-18 weeks. This usually amounts to a total of three vaccines for most scenarios. The Rabies vaccine is given first at four months of age, then a year later. The necessity for other vaccines (leptospirosis, Bordetella, etc.) will depend on the dog's environment. Typically, puppies get a Rabies vaccine between 12 and 16 weeks of age. This vaccine lasts 1 year. When the pup returns for the 1 year check up and vaccines, another rabies vaccine is given. This one, and all other afterwards, are considered 3 year vaccines. Confirm this with the manufacturer of the particular vaccine you are using.

Hello. Normally we start vaccinating puppies at 8 weeks of age for distemper/parvo & repeat this vaccine at 3 & 4 months of age. Puppies can be vaccinated for rabies at 3 months of age. If your puppy received a rabies vaccine at 8 weeks of age, please double check with your vet about this. If the rabies was administered too early, another booster should be given at 3 or 4 months of age, & then repeated in 1 year. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco and congrats on the new baby! I do not recommend starting the distemper/parvo vaccines until 6-8 weeks of age. They should be repeated every 3-4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age. The rabies vaccine is usually given between 12 and 16 weeks of age. Best of luck to you and Oreo!

Oh goodness, Kurama and the kitten are just adorable! At 3 months of age, it's the perfect time to give Kumara his second distemper/parvo combination vaccine. You may also consider bordetella (kennel cough), especially if he will be spending time around other dogs (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc) as well as leptospirosis, which has become more commonly seen in recent months in the northeast. At 16 weeks he'll get his final distemper/parvo booster, along with his rabies vaccination. You should also strongly consider a fecal test for parasites, as well as at least 2 deworming treatments. Your kitten will need 3 rounds of the feline distemper vaccine, starting at 8 weeks of age. Just like Kumara, she'll need rabies at 16 weeks. We are also recommending the feline leukemia vaccination for kittens, and also I recommend testing them for this disease as well as for feline AIDS. How much would it cost to update my dog on shots and get him his rabies shit
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Generally, you are looking at the cost of the exam which for our clinic runs about $60 and another $20 for the Rabies vaccination. Prices vary everywhere so I would just call the clinic you are planning on going to and they should be able to give you prices over the phone for the cost of an exam and vaccines or it may be on their website.

Puppies should be vaccinated at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. They also should be dewormed every two weeks until they are 16 weeks old. With each set of vaccines, every puppy should get a DAPP vaccine. This is the vaccine that protects puppies against distemper and parvo. There are several other vaccines that your vet might recommend depending on what diseases are present in you area. Costs do vary based upon where you live and if you go to a vaccine clinic or not. Hello friend. We typically recommend giving puppies their shots starting at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age for Distemper and Parvo combination vaccines. Rabies is usually given by a licensed veterinarian by law starting at 12 weeks of age, then every 1-3 years bases on local laws. Other shots are also recommended depending on the area you live. I would contact a local veterinarian in your area and discuss this situation in order to determine the best protection for your animal. Most clinics in your area would carry the right vaccine and may consider helping you out financially if you ask.
