Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Pascall! I think that the bald spot and the coughing are unrelated. The bald spot could be a skin infection, skin mites, fleas, or ring worm. The most common cause of coughing in cats is feline asthma or an upper respiratory tract infection. Asthma is causes by allergies, bacterial/viral/fungal or parasitic infection. It is treated with anti-inflammatories and airway dilators. It is diagnosed after taking chest X-rays usually. Since he is coughing non-stop I recommend that he be examined by a Vet and have medication started based on his diagnosis. The skin condition is minor compared to the non-stop coughing but can be addressed at the same appointment. I hope this helps and I wish Pascall the very best!
