How can i tell if my chiwinnie is in labor she got pregnant in the middle of feb she is almost 11 months and has been uraniting more today and sleepin and hasnt ate that much

A dog's pregnancy lasts between 58-68 days, so if Crystal became pregnant in the middle of February, then it is too soon for her to give birth. I will put a link below on how to know when a dog is in labor. I hope this helps! http://www.2ndchance.info/caninelaborstages.htm

Average gestation for a dog is about 63-65 days. Is she anywhere near her due date? Have you taken her rectal temperature? Hi i have a australian shepherd.she got the 1stud last april 21 and april23 (2nd stud) which date she should give birth coz till now no signs fo labor..i think..til when the pregnancy of a dog
The average pregnancy lasts 58-72 days . Unfortunately breeding dates alone cannot reliably predict when a dog will go into labor because sperm can last in the reproductive tract for some time before ovulation. So if she ovulated after April 23rd she still could have another week to go, or she may be 'past due' now with pups in fetal distress if she ovulated right on April 21. I would recommend checking in with your vet - they may be able to help age puppies (and count them!) with an x-ray and can make sure the pups do not seem distressed if they have access to ultrasound. It can also be helpful to monitor a rectal temperature 2-3 times a day to establish a baseline - typically there will be a drop of at least 1 degree before labor begins.

A dog's pregnancy lasts between 58-68 days, so it is possible she could go into labor anytime after that. I would start taking her temperature rectally twice a day. A dog's normal temperature is between 101-102.5F. Once it drops below 100F, she should give birth to her puppies within 24 hours. Should 24 hours pass after this temperature drop with no sign of puppies or she reaches 69 days of pregnancy without going into labor, she will need to see a vet immediately. 56 days is a bit early, but it is possible she could be in labor, or closer to her due date than thought. Signs of labor can include visible contractions, changes in body temperature, lack of appetite, and waxing of the nipples (producing a milk substance). I would keep an eye on her, and if she doesn't have any puppies within a few hours of signs of labor, or she seems in great distress/is extremely exhausted take her into your vet ASAP for care to make sure there isn't a stuck puppy or other illness or complication causing her early symptoms.

How common is it for pregnant dogs to go into labor before Day 63? Only one mating took place and it was on the 11th or 12th day of the female’s cycle. Ultrasound was done on day 35. X-ray was done on day 50, today.
An average pregnancy lasts 63 to 65 days. Dogs can give birth any time from the 58th day to the 68th day. Any birth during that time frame is normal. Earlier than 58 days and your dog may be giving birth to premature puppies.

Hello. How is Blacky acting? Is she relaxed & eating & drinking well? Has there been any vaginal discharge, other than the occasional drip of mucous? Average pregnancies are 63 days, but not all dogs will adhere to the same schedule. If you are concerned, it would be best to have Blacky examined to see if she is indeed pregnant ( could this have been a false pregnancy? ), or do an ultrasound examination to make sure the fetuses are all normal & not in distress. If she seems to be feeling well, & there is no unusual discharges or behaviors, I might give her another day or so to see if she goes into labor on her own. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

My dog is pregnant and seemsee to be in pain. She hasn't been pregnant for very long, I don't think. But recently every time I pet her she seems to groan quietly in pain. Is she going in to labor? If not how can I ease her pain?
A dog pregnancy lasts between 58 and 68 days with an average of 63 days. If she is in that range, labor is a possibility. Lucy should be examined by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER to confirm pregnancy or to diagnose illness or injury. If she is an older dog, uterine infection (pyometra) is a possibility. There is nothing OTC that you can safely give her for relief.

Normally, the "due date" for a pregnant dog is anywhere from 57-63 days after mating. If your girl is 59 days pregnant, she is within this range so she may be getting ready to go into labor - pregnant females will often refuse food for the last day or so before having their puppies, and may also act restless or clingy. You can take her temperature with a rectal thermometer if you are comfortable doing this - if it's lower than 99 degrees, chances are good that she will be going into labor within the next 24 hours.
