Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 11 months old | 5 lbs
Hi, Sorry, I've queried about this alrdy but my cat started acting like something is stuck in his throat. Still retching now & then all day & night. Given anti inflam injec by vet to see if improves & if not by day 2, to bring him back. Swallows alot 2 b4 retches. If it's not anything 2 do with irritation, & is a stuck object in his throat, will that 2 day delay be life threatening? Vet didn't put my mind at ease & the examination seemed a bit short now that I think about it. Still Eats/drinks.

I would be as concerned as you at this point. I don't think I would wait 2 days before bringing Milo back in (or consider another vet) to have x-rays taken. It does sound like there could potentially be something stuck in the esophagus. I hope not, but if there is, and you wait 2 days to recheck, there could be perforation of the esophagus, which can be quite serious. If you have access to a veterinary specialist in your area, I would consider going. They can anesthetize Milo and use an endoscope to look down into the esophagus and retrieve anything that could be stuck there.
