Why is my dog suddenly clingy and panting after being away?

My German short haired pointer all the sudden has to be by my side all the time. He’s literally under my feet wherever I walk around the house. He seems to be panting easy like he is overheated, not sure if that’s related. It just started happening a day ago. We left him with a pet sitter and then took him to the dog park after we got him back from her. I didn’t notice anything unusual and neither did the pet sitter. Do you know what could be going on? Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer (duplicate) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 40 lbs
