Why aren't my parrot's trimmed feathers growing back after months?

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | 9 months and 27 days old | 0.198 lbs

My parrot is 11 month old indian ringneck female ,i trimmed wings of her and it's not growing back its almost 7 months... plz suggest something

In nature birds need to be able to fly all of the time and therefore they don't lose all their wing feathers (primaries and secondaries) at one time. Because of this the trimmed feathers don't regrow all at the same time. It may take a long time until the process is complete. It can take anywhere from several months to a year before the feathers grow back. I would not be overly concerned at this stage. You can try giving hear a feather growth supplement to see if it will help. I like one from Nekton Bio.     Hi and thank you for your question, In general, those feathers should grow back in a few weeks, and this should have no negative effect on his health. However, looking at the picture of the feathers I have some concerns about their structure. If available to you, I would have the birds tested for Psittacine Beak and Feather Virus, just to make sure that it is not infected. Regards
