My cat had one kitten, then stopped labor. Is another stuck?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 15 lbs

my cat got pregnant back in december. last night, at about 2 am, she had one kitten and then stopped. today, she’s been clingy, and laid on her back for me to rub her belly all day. she’s been bleeding a little too. (not enough to scare me. just spotting, which her mother done). i feel one more kitten in there, and she was having contractions. but i left her alone for a few minutes, and now it’s like she’s back to normal. but she never birthed another kitten.

If there is no progression at this point then she needs to see a vet. They can X-ray and see how many are left Your vet can give medication to stimulate contractions if needed or do a c section if that is indicated at this point
